What began in 2019 in Sioux City, Iowa, as a heartfelt effort to support animal rescue organizations through professional photography has since evolved into a dedicated brand known for its artistry, warmth, and unmistakable love of dogs.

Founder Michel, a photographer since 2006, launched Arf & Wag with a singular mission: to elevate the visibility of adoptable pets through beautiful, emotive imagery. The impact was immediate. By 2021, the success of that grassroots effort led to the opening of a full-service studio in Des Moines, Iowa, serving pet lovers and their four-legged companions across the region.

Today, Arf & Wag operates out of Valencia, Spain, continuing its mission with an international lens. We specialize in refined, emotionally resonant portraits that highlight the unique character of each dog and the unspoken bond they share with their humans. From the cobbled streets of the city to the golden sands of the coast, every session is a celebration of connection, companionship, and unconditional love.
